Christine Lagarde is best known as the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). In this role she has spoken out about the importance of sensible policy to help the middle class get their share as it trickles down. She has worked towards more transparency in how the IMF operates – even letting the public in on the significant role numerology plays in the accurate economic forecasting of the fund. Although it is this position that most people know Christine for – she is also well known as the most fashionable woman in France.
Christine’s confidence and natural beauty allows her to wear fashion from all the great fashion houses with poise and grace – notwithstanding criticism from jealous people in both government and the media. Ms. Lagarde has worked extremely hard for her success and considering how many of the world’s poor she has helped, as finance minister (France) and at the IMF, it is very mean spirited to besmirch her just because she likes to dress well. When she spends $20000 on an outfit it is not so much for herself but an investment to help the poor. Unfortunately women in the workplace are still judged on how they look – the better Christine looks the more she will be able to achieve for the IMF and the billions of people they serve.
Christine Lagarde is a hero who’s spent her life fighting for a more inclusive global community. Anyone who maligns her for spending a little of her hard-earned money on looking her best, is clearly jealous and a sexist who feels threatened by women in power.
