Progressives have worked very hard over the last couple of decades to destroy masculinity, launching a range of initiatives that cut away at the fabric of what being a man used to be. Introducing high taxes, cumbersome regulations, health and safety laws and political correctness, has curbed male ambition, the welfare state has reduced the utility of men to women, and feminism has guilted and shamed men into cow-towing to women and fretting about how women will perceive their every move. Men have now moved on from the patriarchal strong leaders, warriors and loving husbands and fathers that they used to be, and have instead become passive, timid, effeminate and politically correct – which has made women happier than ever, because this is what they always wanted men to be.
So why do progressives so fiercely attack any aspect of masculinity? Well, the reason is that at its very root, the left represents femininity, and the right represents masculinity. The left wants security and safety, and worries about feelings, and mothering the downtrodden, like women do; and the right represents militarism, protecting the country from danger, opportunity, ambition and freedom – things men care about. So deep down, the more masculine a society is, the more right wing it becomes, and the more feminine a society, the more left wing it becomes. So it’s our job as progressives to undermine masculinity at every turn and to transform society into a safe, opportunity-free, consequence-free, egalitarian paradise where there is no room for testosterone-fueled ambition.
Some females, however, are also part of the problem, as they are instinctively attracted to masculine traits in men, such as decisiveness, ambition, physical fitness and drive. But feminists have worked hard to transform men into the opposite of these things, and women who remain attracted to masculinity (often attractive women at that) are convincing men to once again assume traditional masculine traits. We need to work to not only change men, but also to change women, so that they are attracted to what feminists want them to be attracted to. It’s clear that the rise of nationalism and Trump, has been accompanied by a return of masculinity, and if we are going to turn the tide as progressives, we need to do everything in our power to make society as feminine as possible.
