Paris, France (Accredited Times) – Add Charlie Hebdo to the list of accredited publications cheering Hurricane Harvey for killing off dozens of Trump-loving Texans.
In its most recent edition, Charlie Hebdo’s cover states: “God Exists! He Drowned All The Neo-Nazis of Texas!” The cover portrays drowning Texans saluting Nazi flags while submerged underwater.
Charlie Hebdo is a leading French magazine, particularly popular amongst French progressives. The magazine describes itself as “left-wing,” “anti-racist,” “atheist,” and “secular.”
Although over 750,000 Texans fought against the Nazis in World War II, only 22,022 Texans died in combat. More importantly, Texas voted for Donald Trump, a known white supremacist, over Hillary Clinton, the most qualified person ever to run for office.
In recent years, Charlie Hebdo writers have improved the caliber of the publication markedly in large part because of pressure by Muslim rights organizations. In January 2015, Charlie Hebdo drew fire from Muslim activists for publishing blasphemous cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Since the controversy, Charlie Hebdo has apologized and promised not to run any further anti-Islamic cartoons.
As usual, the Accredited Times has shown itself to be a progressive thought leader. It’s good to see other progressive publications openly embrace the same position that we all hold.
