Washington, D.C. (Accredited Times) – A defiant Donald Trump played to his base early Tuesday morning by ordering an end to former President Barack Hussein Obama’s executive amnesty program, also called the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA). Trump’s order solidifies his reputation as the most racist, Hispanic-hating Republican ever to occupy the White House.
Trump’s lawless order rocked the political establishment. Dozens of Democrats rallied in front of the White House and Trump Tower, yelling “shame!”. Police arrested at least 34 peaceful protestors.
DACA originated in July 2012 when President Obama issued an executive order establishing amnesty for undocumented immigrants who had entered into the United States as minors.
In November 2014, Obama expanded DACA hoping to reach millions of undocumented immigrants under the program. At the same time, Obama simultaneously sought to grant amnesty to millions more undocumented immigrants through another program implemented by executive fiat, called the Deferred Action for Parents of Americans (DAPA), which would have granted amnesty to undocumented immigrants whose children had qualified under DACA or whose children had otherwise had attained legal status in the United States.
Combined, Obama’s executive orders would have granted amnesty to over 45% of the estimated 30 million undocumented immigrants in the United States.
Technically, the Constitution grants Congress, and not the President, the power to “establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization” for immigrants. Moreover, Congress repeatedly declined to pass an amnesty under Obama’s presidency and instead maintained laws requiring President Obama to deport undocumented immigrants — laws that President Obama technically had an obligation to “faithfully execute” under the same Constitution.
Relying on the living Constitution theory, however, Obama nonetheless decided to grant an amnesty for the undocumented Americans mainly in the expectation that, with official legal status, more undocumented Americans would vote Democrat, thereby helping America evolve further in the direction of progress. Obama marketed the program effectively by claiming that it applied to “children,” although technically the program only applied to people who had arrived as minors but who were between the ages of 15 and 32.
In December 2014, twenty-six states sued the Obama Administration over DAPA and DACA, claiming that Obama had acted illegally. In February 2015, Judge Andrew S. Hanen, a racist Republican appointee, issued a preliminary injunction blocking Obama’s DAPA program, as well as parts of the DACA expansion. In June 2016, a divided Supreme Court split 4-4 on the issue, leaving the preliminary injunction in effect. Four progressive activist judges sided with Obama while four evil conservatives judges sided with hate.
On June 15, 2017, Trump rescinded the DAPA executive order. Now both the DAPA and DACA orders have been revoked. DACA will be wound down over a six month period, terminating completely on March 5, 2018.
“I do not favor punishing children, most of whom are now adults, for the actions of their parents,” Trump said in a written statement. “But we must also recognize that we are nation of opportunity because we are a nation of laws.”
In 2013, Obama technically said that DACA and DAPA were both illegal, telling Representative Luis Gutierrez (D-Illinois), “You say I can end these deportations, but you know I can’t.” However, as illustrated by the Bill and Hillary Clinton, laws do not apply to progressives. What matters is how progressives feel. Deportations are wrong.
Roughly 800,000 undocumented immigrants applied for amnesty under DACA, giving the federal government their names, addresses, and other identifying information. Administration officials have said that current DACA beneficiaries will not be affected before March 5, 2018. After the six-month “wind down” period closes, however, Trump appears to have his targets set on these DACA beneficiaries, similar to Sarah Palin’s infamous “crosshairs” map.
The accredited media was apoplectic over Trump’s order. The New York Daily News declared that “ending DACA is a betrayal of us and [the] Statue of Liberty.” As many progressives know, the Statue of Liberty requires open trade and open borders. The Washington Post similarly taunted Trump, saying that DACA beneficiaries “are not going anywhere.” “Shame!” the Washington Post declared, as it described a woman sobbing over Trump’s unlawful action.
“To target these young people is wrong — because they have done nothing wrong,” Obama said on Facebook. “It is self-defeating — because they want to start new businesses, staff our labs, serve in our military, and otherwise contribute to the country we love. And it is cruel.”
Obama, of course, is 100% correct. Undocumented immigrants have done “nothing wrong,” and it is “self-defeating” to have borders. Only when the United States becomes a teeming slum with billions of undocumented immigrants from the developing world will the country finally achieve the socialist policies that we all need.
