Washington, D.C. (Accredited Times) – In bombshell developments breaking earlier this morning, Donald Trump has shockingly withdrawn his invitation to the largely African-African Golden State Warriors to visit the White House. The withdrawal marks yet another incident of overt racism by the most bigoted hatemonger ever to occupy the White House.
Traditionally, NBA champions visit the White House every year. Trump, however, disinvited the Golden State Warriors, the most recent NBA champions, after their star player, Stephen Curry, suggested that he would not attend because of Trump’s alt-right bigotry.
“Going to the White House is considered a great honor for a championship team,” Trump tweeted early Saturday morning. “Stephen Curry is hesitating[;] therefore [the] invitation is withdrawn!”
On Friday, Curry told the Accredited Times that he did not want to accept the invitation because of Trump’s triggering statements. “I don’t want to go,” Curry said. “By acting and not going, hopefully that will inspire some change when it comes to what we tolerate in this country and what is accepted and what we turn a blind eye to.”
LeBron James responded angrily to Trump’s racist tweet: “U bum StephenCurry30 already said he ain’t going! So therefore ain’t no invite. Going to White House was a great honor until you showed up!”
Trump’s racist tweet comes in the wake of another racist comment directed at America’s favorite sporting league — the NFL. Referring to unemployed NFL superstar Colin Kaepernick, Trump said that he would immediately fire any “son of a bitch” who disrespects AmeriKKKa’s flag by not standing for the national anthem:
Trump further tweeted: “If a player wants the privilege of making millions of dollars in the NFL, or other leagues, he or she should not be allowed to disrespect . . . our Great American Flag (or Country) and should stand for the National Anthem. If not, YOU’RE FIRED. Find something else to do!”
The NFL and the Golden State Warriors reacted angrily to Trump’s comments. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell ripped Trump for his divisiveness: “Divisive comments like these demonstrate an unfortunate lack of respect for the NFL, our great game and all of our players, and a failure to understand the overwhelming force for good our clubs and players represent in our communities.” The Golden State Warriors likewise ripped Trump and promised instead “to celebrate equality, diversity and inclusion — the values that we embrace as an organization.”
With popular sports stars and leagues rallying against Trump, it’s only a matter of time before Trump is forced out of the White House. In the end, equality, diversity, and inclusion always win.
