Los Angeles, California (Accredited Times) – As a member of the Nation of Islam, I normally avoid the Bible like the ten plagues of Egypt. Surprisingly, however, while preparing for an Islam-Christianity debate, I found a Biblical passage that bears shocking relevance in the brewing conflict between Donald Trump and the three shoplifting wise men from UCLA: “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil . . . .”
Conservatives, of course, want to act like Donald Trump is the “good guy” here and that the UCLA shoplifters are the “bad guys.” But the reality is that the UCLA shoplifters are good and Donald Trump is evil. The facts reported by the accredited media could not make this more clear.
For those of you living under a rock, the UCLA-Trump conflict began when Chinese authorities racially profiled and arrested three African-American players on UCLA’s basketball team for shoplifting at a Louis Vuitton store in China. The players — LiAngelo Ball, Jalen Hill, and Cody Riley — admitted to stealing expensive designer sunglasses and faced three to ten years in a Chinese prison on charges of grand larceny. Donald Trump, however, intervened and asked Chinese President Xi Jinping to release the players. President Xi obliged. The next day the players returned to the United States freely without criminal charges.
After returning, the players declined to thank Trump — which is unsurprising given that Trump is not a legitimate President (“not my President”). Trump reacted angrily, tweeting:
Do you think the three UCLA Basketball Players will say thank you President Trump? They were headed for 10 years in jail!
