Despite the amazing achievements of Hugo Chavez in Venezuela and Fidel Castro in Cuba, South America is overall a troubled region. Huge swathes of South America are beset by crime, abject poverty and political upheaval, and have been for decades. So why exactly is this beautiful subcontinent so plagued by violence and economic strife? The answer, as with every country, can be found in its colonial origins.
Originally, South America was a peaceful land, occupied only by its native inhabitants, the American Indians. The American Indians of South America were a peaceful people, just like North American Indians, who lived at one with nature, and didn’t see the need to industrialize past the bronze age. It’s not that they weren’t capable of doing so – it’s just that they weighed up the costs to the environment with the benefits to themselves, and nobly chose to live more humble lives to preserve nature, unlike selfish Europeans, who continued to advance towards the space age, with no consideration for mother earth. The North American Indians even used to burn down whole forests to honor mother earth, and to chase out any animals they might want to eat, such was their passion for preserving the environment.
The Aztecs were particularly peaceful, and were renowned throughout the continent for their compassionate treatment of children. They also had a strict code of ethics, in which a lowly commoner could climb the ranks of society and eventually become a noble, by taking captives in war.
But while the American Indians were living in peace and harmony, a bloodthirsty cult was forming in Spain and Portugal, that would soon cross the Atlantic and conquer their beautiful continent forever, ushering in a new age of suffering and oppressive modernity.
The conquistadors can trace their origins back to Islamophobia, when the Spaniards and Portuguese militarized and defended the Mediterranean from peaceful Muslim Barbary pirates who were just looking for a better life. The South West Europeans were angry that many of their women had fallen in love with the virile and dashing Muslim pirates, and traveled with them to the Ottoman Empire and North Africa, where they found new lovers, such was their insatiable appetite for Muslim men.
After exacting their revenge on Muslim men for being more attractive than they were, and after feeling rather inadequate that their women didn’t really want them, the conquistadors caught wind of a foreign land filled with beautiful exotic Latina women, who were ripe for the taking. The conquistadors, starved for sexual and romantic attention, wasted no time, and immediately sailed across the Atlantic ocean, bringing with them all of the advanced technology that they had appropriated from the Muslim pirates, who had invented algebra long before them.
When the conquistadors arrived, they couldn’t believe their eyes. Beautiful women were everywhere, and whats more they wore next to nothing! They conquistadors were blind with envy, and quickly devised a plan to kill off the American Indian men. The plan they came up with was devastating, and bears much similarity to the tactics used by white Americans on the North American Indians. They used disease to wipe out the native population, and to weaken the ones who were lucky enough to survive. The combination of disease and Muslim military technology was too much for the natives to bear, and they eventually conceded to the sexually rapacious conquistadors, who preceded to take all of their women, and give birth to the Mestizos who now make up a majority of many parts of South America.
All of South America’s problems can be traced back to the conquistadors, who tore apart the peaceful cultures that once lived at one with nature throughout the land. The Spanish and Portuguese brought overindustrialization, guns and capitalism with them, creating hell holes like Honduras, which combined guns with capitalism to create drug gangs that transport cocaine to rich white yuppies in Miami, LA and New York City. All in all, colonialism was a disaster in South America, and it has been everywhere, and no amount of reparations can ever make up for what whites did there. But that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t pay as much as they can anyway.
