Despite Hillary Clinton’s overwhelming public support and her winning of the popular ballot by almost three million votes (the largest margin in history) the electoral college has gone ahead and betrayed not only the people but democracy itself. What makes this betrayal even more shocking, than just the simple brushing off of the peoples collective will, is the fact that in the 239 year history of the United States there has never been a more qualified candidate for president than Hillary Clinton. There has also never been anyone less fit to serve than the racist monstrosity Donald Trump.
The most qualified presidential candidate in the history of the world – Hillary Clinton. She was cheated out of her rightful presidency – through a combination of election rigging by Putin and institutional sexism in the United States.
Donald Trump’s racism is so virulent that he should be disqualified from holding any public office let alone holding that of President. Not only is he a rabid xenophobic racist, he is also a well documented misogynistic sexist bigot – there are multiple allegations of him sexually assaulting women.
Donald Trump has shown just how sexist he is by the very childish personal attacks of not only Hillary Clinton but also Fed Chairperson Janet Yellen – for no other reason than they are both women who hold high public office. His sexism has even allowed him to undermine the independence of the Federal Reserve. He is such a misogynist that he thinks he has the right to tell Janet Yellen what to do – just because she is a woman. The Federal Reserve’s independence is vital for economic and monetary stability – Donald Trump’s sexism is compromising this.
Eminently qualified and universally respected Fed Chairperson – Janet Yellen. She has been undermined by Donald Trump’s ignorant sexist belief that “little woman” should do what men tell them.
Electors received millions of pleas to choose anyone but Trump – with many getting more than 500 emails an hour (for weeks) begging them to vote their conscience and support the popular will. Sadly they have chosen to trample on democracy and ignore the collective’s legitimate aspiration for the first American woman president. Their failure marks the beginning of a new age of ignorance.
