Unaccompanied child refugees have been through a lot. Once they’ve made it to Europe it’s time for healing and a better life. One of the best comforts that an unaccompanied child can be given is a puppy. Studies have shown that the companionship of a dog helps prevent loneliness and can even cure PTSD.
The Accredited Times has been soliciting donations from philanthropists to set up a fund that will deliver two purebred puppies and eight cross breeds, to unaccompanied children, in the first year alone.
We would like to thank Biopet for contributing enough vegan dog food to get each child started on a healthy eating plan for their fur babies.
Thank you all our generous donors. We encourage others to also look for innovative ideas on how they can help these unaccompanied child refugees – as many more are expected to arrive.
