Extremist Iran has made threats against the peace loving Western allies Saudi Arabia. “If the Saudis do anything ignorant, we will leave no area untouched except Mecca and Medina” said the hostile Iranian Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan. His statement not only threatened our reliable allies but has also insulted them by calling them ignorant.
Voice of reason and moderate Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has made the sensible observation: “We know that we are a main goal for the Iranian regime” he then rightfully stated, “We will not wait until the battle comes to Saudi Arabia but we will work to have the battle in Iran rather than in Saudi Arabia.” His statement has calmed nerves both domestically and here in the West.
Saudi Arabia has been a long-time ally of the West and has reliably priced its oil in the $US for many decades helping to give our currency system legitimacy and also to create demand for it worldwide. This long term currency stability has allowed us to forward a progressive agenda that has liberated millions of minorities not only at home but also worldwide. Saudi Arabia’s loyalty demands that we give them the utmost support in dealing with Iran’s aggression.
Thankfully the Trump administration has come to its senses and Saudi Arabia will be the first country that the new President visits. Having been made aware of just how much danger the Putin backed Iranian theocratic dictatorship poses, not only to Saudi Arabia but the entire free word – it is expected that a generous arms deal will be offered. This deal is expected to include the defensive and stabilizing Lockheed Martin THAAD missile system. There is also talk that the deal will include four warships, which the Saudi’s desperately need to protect freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
In light of Iran’s unprovoked aggression we call on the administration to provide our dear and loyal Saudi allies all necessary support to secure the freedom and stability of the region.
